As the trade of spice and sculptures welcomes unbounded fame into the land of Rasidan, youngest prince Daryoush can do no more than watch. Daryoush lives cozy and perpetually bored—then, on the day of his brother’s coronation, an attempt on his life acquaints him with Zahan, an enigmatic healer with a gift for the nearly extinct art of magic.
